Hi Tarjei,
I always enjoy reading your posts as you're absolutely at the forefront of our technology and almost always asking about features we're in the process of adding or planning to add.
This post is no exception. In version 10.20 of Modano (which we'll be releasing in early January at the latest) we've added a range of powerful new functionalities / options to the duplicate and mirror module tools, including the ability to control the names of the newly-created modules, as shown below:
We've also added Rename Multiple Modules and Rename Multiple Sheets tools, which we're finding hugely time saving in beta testing when building complex consolidation and multi-business unit models.
So please be patient, this feature will arrive very soon!

Hey Jun - we knew you'd appreciate the trigger cells. We've actually added a generic 'Run Macro' trigger cell type in v.10.20 as well, which when combined with the Modano API means that you can do all sorts of weird and wacky things when users enter assumptions, etc. For example we're using it in an upcoming content library to rename modules based on assumptions users enter.
Something else you can't really see in the above image is the Maintain relationships between duplicate modules option, when which checked results in the newly-created modules linking to each other the way their source modules did, rather than linking automatically to all precedent and dependent modules. It's hard to explain, but easy to demonstrate, and allows things like an entire entity with many modules to be duplicated and effectively create a parallel model within the broader model. Insanely powerful stuff!
There's actually a whole bunch of other stuff too but I'm getting ahead of myself!
